AURA? I HARDLY KNOW HER!
When people speak of the Aura, most likely, folks will picture the concept of energy that surrounds a person in the form of colors… and this wouldn’t be completely incorrect, but we have to first look to the actual definition(s) of what an aura is.
Even searching online, you may find more about how to cleanse the Aura and what color a person's aura means, but on a surface level there isn’t much in explaining it further.
Now, there are more than a few definitions for Aura but I am focusing on three that I’ve come across that feel the most straight-forward when you, somewhat, combine them. The definitions are as follows:
Firstly, we have the more technical definition which states that “an aura is the small electromagnetic field emitted by all living things and is believed to reflect our emotional, mental, and spiritual health.”
Then we have the slightly less complex definition of an aura being “part of a hidden anatomy that reflects the state of being and health of a person.”
Lastly, we have the simplest definition which states that the aura is “the energy that someone/something emits.”
Now, to understand where the colors come into play, it’d be safe to say you can associate the person's state of being with what a color may represent but we have to look at what has been labeled as the different Layers of the Aura which is considered to be a part of what makes up our anatomy as a whole in order to fully understand how each layer will then attribute to someone's ‘aura color.’
When speaking of being part of the anatomy we have to look at the layers of the physical and spiritual bodies. According to studies, our Auric body consists of Seven Layers.
These layers are as follows:
Etheric Body: said to be the first and most dense layer, where the physical body is formed.
Emotional Body: said to be the second layer, where healing of emotions occurs, and said to be where self-love develops.
Mental Body: said to be the third layer which consists of thoughts and beliefs.
Astral Body: said to be the fourth layer, which resides on the astral plane and holds the connections, “records”, of our past {not only our childhoods but also our preconception and past lived experiences}
Etheric Template: the fifth layer is said to be of the spiritual plane and encompasses our will, our purpose in life, in the physical form, becoming our own authority and our sense of truth.
Celestial Body: the sixth layer, also said to be on the spiritual plane but is the layer of divine love and the concept of unconditional love for all creation.
Ketheric Template: the seventh and last layer, also on the spiritual plane, is said to vibrate at the highest frequency and is considered the layer of divine wisdom and oneness with the universe.
Now that we know what each layer is and consists of, we can take it a step further and speak about the correlation between these Seven layers and the Primary Seven Chakras.
According to the different spiritualists I've come across, each Chakra has a counterpart with an Auric Layer, and these have been further “split” into three ‘sub-bodies,' [which I will refer to as SB from here on].
For example,
The first SB is the “Physical Body” (a.k.a Physical Realm Body) which consists of the three Lower Chakras (Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus) and corresponds with the Etheric, Emotional, and Mental Auric Layers.
The second SB is considered the “Astrology Body” (a.k.a Astral Realm Body) and is made up of the Heart Chakra which relates to the Astral Layer.
Lastly, the third SB is the “Spiritual Body” (a.k.a Light Realm Body) and consists of the three Upper Chakras (Throat, Third Eye, and Crown) which connect with the Etheric Template, Celestial Body, and Ketheric Template.
So, once we understand what each layer's purpose is and how it connects with how we ‘are’ as people, we can then move into understanding the different colors that seem to be more common knowledge.
You see, a lot of us understand that colors have their own correspondence, meanings, emotional attachments, and the like. So, when we take the factors of our Auric Layers and the connection between them and our Chakras plus the concept of color symbolism, we can see how certain events/experiences, emotions, thoughts, etc., will impact our ‘layers’ and in turn emit the different colors that are commonly associated with different individuals Auras.
*Something to note is that Aura’s are in constant motion and can change over time due to the individuals current emotional state and what they’ve been through (whether that is trauma or healing.) Aura’s can grow, shrink, and change colors as well as can have more than one color per layer.
“Some of these layers follow the contours of your body while others form the shape of an oval or egg. Each layer penetrates and interrelates with others beginning at the center of your being. When you look at these layers going from inside out, the vibrations of each level become finer and higher.”
So- Here we are! We know a little bit more about what an Aura actually is and what it consists of as well as have begun to discuss what may impact it. I think I will leave off here for today and come back to delve deeper into the Colors, How to Read an Aura, as well as What can affect the Auric Body and how maintaining Chakra alignment can aid in a balanced Aura. If I tried to tackle everything in this one piece, you’d be drifting off trying to take everything in, lol, so I won’t do that to you.
Let me know if this was helpful and please don’t hesitate to ask any questions or bring up any other information that you may want to add! I’d love to hear it.
