Simple Protection Spell

This is a simple protection spell that I created in order to add a 'shield' of protection to either a person, place, or thing. It is suggested to do a cleansing shower/bath, smoke cleansing, or even a sound cleansing or some form of 'centering' or grounding beforehand.

Ingredients:

-White Candle [+candle holder *always practice fire safety*]

-Matches

-Bowl & Plate

-Moon Water [*regular water will work just fine if you don't have moon water on hand]

-Rosemary

-Sage

-Salt

-Florida Water 

-Olive Oil

-Aluminum Foil (makes for easy clean-up)

-Incense of your choice [*or incense that correspond with protection]

-Object of choice [*if protecting an object]

Directions:

1. Take candle and use some Florida water to cleanse of any stagnant energies,

2. Then, take a sheet of aluminum foil, lay it flat, and sprinkle some rosemary, salt, and sage onto it,

3. Take Olive oil and apply to the candle,

4. Roll candle into the herbs on the aluminum foil- while focusing on your intention of protection, then set aside,

5. Place the plate in the center of your altar [or area of choice] and place candle holder in the center of the plate,

6. Place candle in holder *DO NOT LIGHT YET*

7. With a combination of the herbs, form a circle around the plate, (Earth)

8. Now, take the Salt and form a circle around the candle, On the plate,

9. Take the bowl and place it to the Right side of the plate (Water to the West) then pour the moon water in the bowl,

10. Take the incense and place it to the Left of the plate (Air to the East)

11. Once everything is in place, you can take the matches and light the incense first, then, while holding the intent of protection against negativity, ill-will, etc. in your mind, light the candle (Fire)

**11.5. If protecting an object, you will hold the object in your hand while lighting the incense but before you light the candle, then place the object (if it fits) onto the plate. >>be careful not to disturb the herbs or the salt<< If the object does not fit on the plate, you can place it in front of the altar. // Same goes for if the thing you are protecting is a place, you can do this spell AT the location.**

12. Lastly, Let the candle burn down completely and let the intention float up to the cosmos- releasing the need to control the outcome while still having faith that you will be protected.

Congratulations! You've done a protection spell!

Now, here are just some things to note:

    *After the candle is done burning, if there is any wax remains you can look up the different meanings if you'd like to "read the wax" in order to decipher any messages your guides may want you to know about your spell.*

    *It is also said that you can see/find messages in the smoke, and/or the flames, so, if you're interested, do a bit of research on the spiritual meanings of candle smoke/flames.*

    *If there is wax left over and you want to get rid of it, please do not bury it, this is not eco-friendly and we want to make sure we're doing what's best for the earth with our craft.*
