How Aura You Impacted?
In my previous entry, Aura? I Hardly Know Her, we spoke about what an aura is. We went a little more in depth than the simple definition of “the aura being described as the energy that someone or something emits,” so if you haven't read it, check that out and come back.
Alright, so now that we have a basic understanding of the aura, I wanted to go a little deeper and further touch on what impacts an aura.
Firstly, we know that ‘the aura is heavily impacted by the situations and people you interact with.’ So when we consider that we are constantly exchanging energies with the people around us, we can see how easy it would be for the auric field to be affected due to ‘psychic clutter and debris’ of others. An example of this is how some of us seem to be able to pick up on the distinct feeling of other people's negative emotions or energies.
Think of skipping a rock into a lake. You skip the rock and it causes a ripple effect in the water. Now, Think of the rock as other people's energies and the ripples as the impact it has on our aura.
Knowing how certain ‘rocks’ impact and cause different ripples to our layers (and seeing how easy it is to ‘disturb’ still water), we can understand how different situations/people/things would affect us as beings.
Simply knowing that our aura can be impacted by our surrounding environment can make us more aware of what we allow into our space. “Arguments, fear, trauma, and unresolved issues can weaken the aura…” causing more 'ripples', keeping the water from returning to its natural, flowing, state. So, we ‘try to avoid the things, people, and places that tend to try and zap our energy.’
Our auric field is also affected by our own thoughts, feelings, actions, and words, and because of the law of attraction, depending on the way we think and feel, it can determine what we draw into our lives.
“If you’re feeling weak, low energy, are easily agitated, or feel a little out of control, these are signs that you may need to repair/cleanse your auric fields.”
So, what helps?
While a ‘weakened aura’ can make you feel less energized, anxious, paranoid, and can aid in a lack of confidence, there are a few things we can do to help re-balance and cleanse:
Meditation- Find a way to quiet the loud chatter of the mind and to take control over how you're able to take things in by using focused breathing and visualization techniques to release any stagnant or negative energies. {Remember: it’s okay if meditation seems difficult and remember that meditation does not need to look the same for everyone and that it takes time getting into the flow of it}
Visualization- visualization has more power than people think. Our brains are very capable of doing what we set our minds to, so in visualizing the cleansing of an aura, we can focus on what we see/feel and what we want/need to remove or add, in order to bring balance.
Deep Breathing- Breathing has been shown to regulate our bodies rhythms and reactions.
Ex.) When we are hyperventilating, we are told to take a deep breath, hold it for about 4 seconds and slowly release the breath for about 6 seconds, and repeat in order to re-calibrate our breathing which in turn allows our heart rates to calm down and we can effectively trick our brains and bodies, in a sense, into thinking we are no longer ‘freaking out’. So, this could help rebalance our auric fields by helping our bodies 'recalibrate' its emotional and physical reactions to unwanted energies.
Getting Back into Nature- Getting connected to the earth again, feeling the energies of the earth, the animals, the plants, etc. Spending time outdoors, in nature, to absorb fresh energies and reconnect with the natural flow of earth can aid in removing toxic energies.
Moving the Body- Exercise, Yoga, and Dance [**But! In a non-mentally stressful way- the point is not about losing weight; it’s about getting your body moving so that energy is not stuck or building up.]
Cleansing Bath/Shower- Water is known to cleanse energies, so is Salt. You can either take a nice thoughtful shower or add some salt and herbs to a bath [*check which herbs correspond with cleansing]
Sound Healing- Frequencies, Music, and/or Chanting - Scientists have found that certain frequencies affect our brainwaves. Music has been scientifically shown to boost mood and rhythms in our bodies, and Chanting [either specific chants or your own little words] has been shown to be able to help the brain ‘rewire itself’, in a sense, into being more focused on positive actions/feelings.
Affirmations [+reaffirmation]- As mentioned above, positive affirmations (such as chants) and the concept of reaffirming your actions, can cause the brain to rewire itself into accepting and making a habit out of the good and push the self to stay mindful even when it’s hard.
Sunlight Exposure [& Moon Bathing]- Vitamin D is important and most of us have a deficiency but sunlight does help boost our moods and immune systems which in turn would help our auric fields be able to cleanse themselves as well as aid in building strength to fight or dismiss negative energies. As for moon bathing, you won't get UV rays, but the pleasant feeling of the moon's vibrations can boost the mood as well as promote relaxation and aid in managing stress and anxiety.
Crystals + Reiki- Certain crystals are known for cleansing and balance, so either when worn or used or then combined with reiki healing, we can effectively balance our aura, reduce pain, as well as speed up recovery.
Creative Outlets- Different things like painting, photography, journaling, and any non-mentally stressful activity can help boost vibrations. Basically, finding things that make you happy will overall help to keep a balanced aura. Of course, just remember that overindulgence would lead to imbalance.
Now, despite all of these options, I don’t want to give the wrong idea here. This list…this entry… is not here trying to push some concept of ‘love and light only’/’toxic positivity bullshit onto you.
Emotions are important. Facing hard things is important. Addressing and understanding and learning to overcome the ‘negative things’ is crucial. You can’t just pretend things are ‘all good’ all the time. Sprinkling fake smiles about isn't going to balance your aura… but taking these options as a sort of list of coping mechanisms… a list of options to add to your toolbox, can help you face the hard times and aid in maintaining a well-balanced aura.
Balance is key.
Again, you can’t pretend everything is all rainbows, in order to get rainbows, there must be rain, but with the storms you can remind yourself that ‘it can't rain all the time,’ and by keeping this in mind, you can take whatever steps necessary to keep your balance so that you may enjoy the rainbows when they appear.
Next, I think we’ll dive into Color Symbolism and how that corresponds with ‘reading auras and their colors'.
I hope you enjoyed this take and stay tuned for more! Blessed Be🔮
